I just received a new RC-5000 as a gift yesterday. Found this WEB Site today. Also found CCF files for all of the equipment that I own. Where should I go to get help on how to install these files? Also, when a CCF files says" Part of a complete system CCF file." does that mean that it can't be used by itself? Also, why are there several different CCF files for the same device; some several times larger than others? Does the file size matter?

I would appreciate any help!!

Thanks!

All of the "part of a complete system ccf file" listing mean that device is PART of someone's complete system. So, you download the file and receive their entire system -- one device of which is the component you're looking for. To merge them, basically delete everything in the file but what you want, save it as a new filename, open your CCF file (select "REPLACE") then open the file you just saved and select "MERGE".

Due to the way many people design their systems it is not practical to attempt to save each component in a separate file.

Thanks Daniel for your response. I tried to figure out how to delete the unwanted pieces of the file last night, but didn't see how to do that. Maybe I was just too tired. I'll see if I can do it this evening.

Thanks Again for helping the New Guy.

Harry
