Hi, I am finally getting around to adding my VCR to my RC5000 using the latest (1.02) version of their software.
As a start I am using Daniel's CCF file as his graphics are quite in line with what I am trying to do. However, here is the problem:
On the files area of remotecentral the transport VCR buttons look as I would expect for rewind, pause, play, fast forward etc... However in my emulator for the RC5000 the fast forward button (for example) has a graphic button with no transport graphic. The name of the button is a superscripted character 3 which is what actually appears on the button instead of the nice >> graphic.
Any suggestions ? This is true for all of Daniel's transport buttons except play - which appears as text.
Thanks - Bruce

If you are not seeing the button in the emulator, make sure it has an action assigned - a simple delay is enough.
If you are not seeing the button names correctly, this is a known problem. You have Internet Explorer V5.0. You need to upgrade to IE5.01.

Thanks for the reply Peter... actually the button is showing up in the emulator but it does not have the nice graphic on it for pause, fast forward, rewind etc... The button itself is fine but inside the button looks like garbage characters.
On IE (I am only on 5.00 but the microsoft upgrade says I don't need an upgrade ? I'll play with that more tomorrow) - but under IE it looks fine on the web site.
I'm beginning to wonder if there is some other keyboard template or something that has graphics where mine have greek type symbols and that is what is being used and is not compatible.
regards - Bruce

5.00 definitely stuffs up the Pronto font.
The version number for 5.01 is 5.00.2919.63071C.

Failing upgrading to IE 5.01 (as far as I know most problems with IE5 & fonts revolve around the alias list only), reboot your PC (many users running NT4 never reboot their systems and thus have problems), uninstall/reinstall RC5000 Setup, and make sure you have a truetype font called "Pronto" available and functional in all applications.

Thanks guys, re-installing 1.02_2 of RC5000 did the trick. I just recently upgraded to 5.00.2919.63071S (I wonder what the difference is over the C version ?) of IE 5 and it obviously toasted those fonts.
It might make a good addition to the FAQ if it is not already there.
