Is there any way to use PictureIT or the WIN98 standard "Paint" program to change wording on icons? I tried, and the most I can do is remove a portion of an icon, or change its size. Anyone have simple instructions to use with either of these programs?

I've used the paint program to take several available icons and change wording and some details. If it is a larger icon you can paint black over the current writing and then enter text (realize the text editor doesn't work when you zoom in). If it is a smaller icon I zoomed in so I could see it well and actually created the letters by hand. These type icons are so small it is not difficult to hand write the letters.

Harris: That's sort of like asking someone how they painted a portrait. Basically, talent and hard work. It's not something you can just "do". I'd really suggest using a generic font; that's what I do ('cept for my tiny tiny icons that required a lot of touch-up work).
