...if she doesn't already:
My wife always picks up the Pronto first thing in the morning to press the "Watch Local TV" button so she can catch the local news and weather before going to work.
Today (Valentine's day) when she pressed that button, The TV came on, the RCVR kicked on, and the VCR started to play. I'd recorded a 5 minute video in which I recited a "How many ways I love you" poem I'd written to her. The Video played, ending with a Happy Valentine's Day graphic, then the Local TV station came on.
I'd put the video on the end of the tape, after a 1/2 hour "Friends" show we'd recorded days before. When it was done, the tape rewound (thanks to the pronto's DELAY action and a Rewind command). I'd been in the kitchen, and when I heard the tape stop, I went into the bedroom to find her crying. "What's the matter, Honey?" I asked. She blubbered out something about loving me and pointed to the TV. I looked confused, and so she pressed the "Watch Local TV" button again. This time no video played, and the TV simply switched again to Local TV mode. I claimed she must have been halucinating. She said there was a video, and so pressed the "PLAY VIDEO TAPE" button on the Pronto. When the tape played, all we saw was the Friends episode. Of course, I claimed to not have any idea what she was talking about, and no proof remains. ;-)
I believe we were attacked by the Valentine's FOX!
Thank you, Pronto!

HAH!!! Awesome!.... Looks like you scored some MAJOR points by using your HT addiction and toys... I thought I'd heard a lot of cool things, but this really should be in the hands of the Philips marketing people. They could have a field day with it!
Anyway, enjoy your loved ones today everyone - What good is a pronto if you're lonely holding it?

David: About two days ago I was thinking that would be the PERFECT use for the Pronto today!

Sounds wonderful... Maybe you should post that CCF to daniel... :-)
But somehow I don't recollect having a delay action in the pronto ?????
Good on you......
Hope she loves you back just as much... :-)

Just a quick question, how would a button perfom a function one time, and then the very next time revert back to normal operation?

What if the first use of the "Play Local TV" button rewound the tape, then turned the VCR off after a suitable delay, and maybe changed a mode or two for watching local TV.
The second use of the button would have had no affect on the VCR as it was turned off.

I'd created a "false" macro page. It was hidden but was the last page I'd been on when I left it for my wife to find. It looked exactly like the normal macro startup panel, but pushing any button would have run the same macro. When it was done it jumped to the original macro page where the next button selected worked normally.
Fortunately my wife doesn't know a thing about how prontoedit allows such creativity with the Pronto.
