Hi all. I am sorry for such a question that can be easily looked at and tested. But all my 'stuff' is packed away while the house is being renovated, and I need to run some cable while the walls are open.
I need to extend 1 IR emitter to reach the plasma screen which is about 10' from the A/V Rack (BTW I have a RC 9200). This would also be the 9th device with an emitter so I need to split them. Here is my assumption... will it work like this.
My guess is that the ports on the extender are Mini-Stereo, with one channel going to each IR emitter on the cable. So I should be able to :
use a standard Mini-Stereo Splitter, then take one side and split the channels to extend via standard mini-MONO extension to a new single IR emitter.
Does this make sense?
Thanks, KT

OK.. I just dug out one of the extenders. They are mini-MONO. So I should be able to use a standard Mini-Y and a standard mini extension (both mono, of course). Right?

Can't offer advice on your question, but I wanted to add my interest in the potential answer. I have a future project where I'll need to extend the (corded) length of an emitter with a 9200 and would like to know the feasible distance. I would think that 10 feet would be plenty for me as well.
