Hi...

I'm a newbie here, so this might be probably a dumb question, but I have searched through this web page and can't find a solution to my problem.

I use a General Instruments Cable Box, and I found a good file already programed in here, so I downloaded it and set it up to work fine with my system.

Nevertheless, since I live in Mexico City, this guy's channles do not fit with mine (I mean in the MACROS where I can jump to a channel by clicking an icon).

I've used the: Devices/Guide/[Network] and click in the icon's properties, then I have to use the ALIAS to enter each number and a .5 secs delay.

Since I have like 180 chennels plus 28 PPV and 50 Music channels multiply this 5 times (3 numbers and 2 delays) each and I realize I had to do 1290 operations... this will take like forever.

So the question is: Is there a way to edit the existing numbers or a way to edit this in another form? I've downloaded Pronto Channels but it seems to work only with certein satup.

Any help will be apreciated.

Thanks
Noe Gonzalez

It is not a dumb question.

form?

Well, sorry, but you just defined how you edit the existing numbers. 1290 operations.

I do believe that I saw a program (just looked it up: Channel Magic) in the files section that is for editing stuff like this. I hope it is not the one you already tried.

Good luck. I empathize with you.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

1) you might not need to change all the digits. If a channel is 142 in the original file but 154 in yours you can delete the 2 and add+move the 5

2) it might be a lot of operations, but each one is extremely fast

3) that is a lot of numbers, but you have ch+ and ch- I would recommend that you just put the ones you really watch, since if you add all 180 of them, the one you are looking for would be hard to find.
