Hi...

I'm brand new in this "intelligent" remote control stuff, and I need a help with them.

I've made a nice set up for my devices, set up some macros and make everything look the way I wanted. But today when trying to download the setting sto the remote it can connecto to is, I get this message:

COM1: Opened but no response from RAV-2000

This is the 1st. time I ever tried to connect the PC to the RC.

Since my computer has no serial port, I use a Belkin F5U109 serial-usb port adapter, it works pretty well with the Palm. I can change through COM devices from 1 to 33 (or something) and the only one shown as BUSY is COM3. By the way, no other COM port gives me a comment, just dont work.

Anybody has a hint or tip for me to fix this? or do I have to look for somebody else's computer to program it?

Thank you
Ronky

1) make sure it is set to com1
2) make sure hot synch and anything PDA related is closed
3) Open rav edit and try it
