Gentlemen:
I am using a Prontopro tsu6000, sysV1.4, App V1.4, default 1 V1.1 It is new and I am not an experienced user. I have a Bose LifeStyle 50 music system as well as the usual other componets.
I downloaded from BlueDo CCF 1024MRI to be able to control the Bose.
The first thing I noticed was that the CCF overwrote my entire system and I lost all the macros and training that I had in the remote. The first screen on LS/50 page did actually control the Bose system, The second thing I noticed was that the screen image looked good until I tried to page down to the second screen and then everything fell apart. Total garbage.
I read the "read me first" pages on the Pronto, one suggestion was that the ccf might have had a problem downloading, their suggestion was that I have the pronto powered on in the docking station when downloading begins. I followed the instruction and woke up the pronto just before the download started. This did not fix the problem.
I have had to reinstall the Pronto operating system each time after I downloaded the ccf. The Pronto has 97% of free memory when the ccf 1024MRI is loaded and 93% free memory when it is reverted to the factory settings. Am I doing something wrong, why is the ccf overwriting the entire system?
Finally, is there someone out there who can program my Prontopro if given a list of my system componets
Help please.

The CCF is the entire configuration file for the remote. You don't "add" to the one on the remote, you overwrite it.
Think of a CCF as a Word document - when you save over a particular filename, you don't add to it, you replace it.
Perhaps you could clarify "total garbage"? Does the file work properly in the emulator?

Hi Daniel, thanks for the response.
Ouch, I thought I could control all my IR componets plus my Bose from the same remote control. Oh well, two remotes is better than six.
By garbage I mean that with the Bose ccf loaded on to my pronto, the first page is fine and i can control some parts of the Bose system but if I try to page down on the pronto for the other Bose controls then the graphics get broken up and further control is impossible. If I try to page up back to the first page the graphics are still broken up and control is impossible. It looks like it is laying one pages graphics on top of the other page with some of the graphics left out of both.
By the way, I am way the heck out here in Guam and there are no professional installers here to assist me so I really appreciate your help.

What version of ProntoEdit are you using? It should be V4.05. Earlier versions can corrupt CCFs.
As Daniel suggests, try the CCF in the emulator first to see that it works OK.
Once you get the hang of it, you will often find that it is easier to learn the codes yourself rather than use someone else's CCF.

Thanks Peter, Yes, I am using V4.05. now that I know that I cannot run my IR componets and my Bose system on the same pronto, I will just teach the Pronto what I want it to do for all my IR componets and use the factory remote for the Bose. I forgot to mention that I also purchased a RF to IR converter which was why I was able to use the ccf to run the bose using the pronto My error was in thinking that the pronto could accomodate the bose and IR componets at the same time. Such is life, like I said, two remotes are better than six.
By the way, Do you think they will ever come out with one that can do both IR and RF? Don Davis

Don,
I don't see why you would not be able to control your IR based devices and your Bose system (using the Bose adapter) with the ProntoPro.
Did you try opening your IR based .ccf and them merged the Bose .ccf?

You say that you were able to control some parts of the Bose system. This means that your Bose is IR controlled and you should be able to control it with your Pronto.
If you are having trouble with the Bose CCF see if there are other ones to try.
Otherwise try learning the codes (though I suspect I've read that there are issues with learning from some Bose devices). You could try searching on "Bose" to see what issues there are.
