Anyone know if HItachi supports discrete codes for the ANT selection. The new 65S700 has three antenna inputs. ANT C is for a digital antenna direct into the digital tuner. The ANT button on the remote is a toggle type. I am trying to program a Theater Master MX-700 to make the LCD screen stupid simple. One button for regular TV off the cable and another button for HDTV of the antenna. Plus I have no connection to ANT B and wind up with a screen full of ants and static every time I want to make the switch. Thanks Sherman Knight 425-576-4028 wk [email protected]

I don't know if they have discrete codes, but....
This reminds me of an early Sony HD TV, where I was able to find a command that would act as an anchor, i.e. that command would always give me the same antenna input, so I could go from there.
Try going to different video inputs, then hitting channel up or down, and see if the set will repeatedly go back to one specific antenna. If so, you are in relative luck, as you can design a macro to work around the lack of individual discretes.
Can you change to a specific antenna via the menu? Then maybe you could make a macro to go into the menu and go to the one that you want, or to one to use as an anchor.

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything. "The biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place." -- G. “Bernie” Shaw |

The Hitachi CCFs in the file area cover every discrete available. However, I did hear from Hitachi recently and they were going to send in new files for all the latest models.
