i have downloaded some ccf files from various users for components in my system. i find only one of the new devices in the ccf file in the remote after uploading. are all devices/ccf's compatible? the one which is available is color(windows emulated, sorry i do not rememberthe authors name), others i tried are b+w. can b+w files be converted to color in touch screen setup?
do other users find these ccf downloads useful, or is it easier to create my own? i am somewhat computer adept, are there ways to create my own screens w/ graphics programs? what are file formats/software which can be used?
thanks, brett

Every time you download a CCF to your 9200, it completely replaces what was there before.
If you want to use other people's CCFs you need to merge them into your CCF. People mostly do that to get codes that others have set up. They then set up panels and buttons that alias to these codes.
Typically, people look at other CCFs to find a 'look and feel' that they like. They then create their panels using this look and feel.
Separately, they set up devices with buttons that contain the actual IR Codes - either copied from other CCFs or learned themselves.
Then the buttons in the 'llok and feel' pages are aliased to the buttons with the learned IR codes.
Using separate pages for your IR Codes makes it easier to update to new equipment later on.
There is no way to convert B&W CCFs to color automatically. You need to go to each button an change the images on the button to color images.

For Icon replacement, I suggest something like Tonto. [Link: giantlaser.com]
