After downloading a CCF to my new RC5200 the unit started to reboot, only getting as far as the Marantz logo and then shuts off, producing a single beep shortly after. This cycle then continues.
I've tried resetting the unit but to no avail.

Any answers, or is this back to the suplier for a new one?

Search for a post on 6000 freezes with my name. Folks were helpful. It took some fancy finger work and about 5 or 10 attempts to get out of the pickle.

You need to download a fresh copy of the firmware. You may have to try several times as you need to do it at the right point in the reboot cycle.

When you go to Reflash the firmware, The Firmware flasher will prompt you to press the reset Button.... DO NOT. The remote is resetting on its own. It should catch on its own in a boot loop or 2... If it doenst seems to catch after a while you might want to download Tonto and ue its "Undead" feature... Works more reliably than the Firmware reflash.

Hi Guys

Thanks for the input.

I solved the problem using the telnet procedure listed in the FAQs. My RC5200 is now working a treat!
