Hello all,

I have a pronto pro and an rf extender now. I have the extender on top of my projector which is mounted on the cealing. The extender points and the wall to the right where all my equipment resides. This works great and I usually just point the remote at the screen just like I would with a TV.

I have X10 that don't work, so I think I'm gonna get the Lutron grafik eye. My first question is off the pronto topic but I hope someone knows the answer. I have 4 light switches that are on the same side as my equipment but are about 6 feet down the wall. With the Grafik eye, would I need the 4 zone model with 4 switches? (each switch controls a different pair of lights)

Second question, could I use a 2nd rf extender pointed at the grafik eye for my lights or is there an easier way, or will my current extender "hit" those too?

Thanks for any info guys. I'm gonna go check out that iPronto!

Chad

1. You may use any GrafikEye you want - all models supports IR controlling, and you may to union some of 4 light zones you have in order to save your money :)

2. If you can connect by wire your RF extender with GRX, let's do it - one RF extender can control any number of devices in front and up to 8 - by wired flashers :). And, also there is a chance that GRX will be controlled already due to IR reflaction by walls - check it with any IR device at the GRX-in-future place.

I've found the Lutron stuff to be extremely sensitive to IR commands, because I can point a Pronto or Chad remote into the opposite corner of the room and still they work. So, you may be able to just leave the Pronto's Lutron device in IR mode and "RF extend" the rest of the devices.
