I have a new PC and an old 1000 and 2000(the 1000 works better). I need to make some changes to the 1000 but the pronto "stuff" from the old pc didn't make it to the new one. I think I need to download prontoedit from somewhere, right? I have the cd for the 2000 but should I download a newer(freer from bugs) version to work with the 1000? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

you will probably need a usb/serial adapter as the new Pc's don't have a db9 connector

Well, generally most non-brand-name PCs still have at least one serial port...

That's the problem that I just ran into. My new notebook doesnt have a serial port. I just went to COMP USA and bought a usb/serial adapter that looks like its primarily marketed for PDA's. Hope it works for me.

With the RAV2000 from Yamaha, RAV edit runs fine in Windows XP but must have a serial port, a USB to Serial adaptor does not work.

I would be interested to know if Philips/Marantaz of same generation as RAV200 have same issue?

The Keyspan adaptor works just fine with RavEdit on an XP Pro machine.
