I have the opportunity to get either one of these (but not both). I have never used a "Universal Remote". I came across this website and am hoping to get some views on the pros/cons of each of these units. (as these are the 2 I have the option of choosing from).

ANY help/suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

I have owned both, and still own the TS-1000. You will get alot more for your money with the TS-1000. Not to mention better software, and a truck load of help on this forum. Good luck.

I did a couple MX-1000's and I didn't like them. I didn't like the feel of the buttons...I think the TS-1000 is nicer.
