Just bought a refurb ds-1000 on e-bay for $39 from Moonbuzz. I noticed the two pieces of the unit (the plastic top and the metal base) have a tiny bit of "play" (1-2mm) between them allowing the top plastic cover to move a little bit on top of the metal base.

IS this normal? I didn't like it so I stuck a little piece of paper in between them to stop this movement, but I wondered if this is normal. It looks like that's just how they are supposed to be...
