I'm not sure this is the correct forum for this since it isn't a Pronto remote, but it is a Philips...
Anyhow, I was looking up information on the PM8TSMD (also seen as model PM8TSM without the D?) Philips Touchscreen, Universal learning remote, but I found only 2 threads even mentioning it on this board and no other reveiews anywhere on the internet!
However this remote LOOKS very nice and is apparently made by Gemini for Philips. But I was wodering if anyone had experience with this remote at all? I mean SOMEONE out there must have used it? It is relatively inexpensive and looks like it would suit my needs, but I'm just wondering if it is going to do what it says.
I have seen a lot of talk (actually horror stories) about that RCA touchscreen one that also looks nice but is actually a worthless remote. I'm just hoping that the PM8TSMD is actually a good remote as it's price point is very attractive.
If ANYONE has any experience or seen any reviews on this remote, I'd greatly appreciate that info.
Thanks!

I have tried above and beyond, to provide good links to pertinent information, and I will confess I am in no way "qualified', at this time, to provide such. (I can't get my freaki'n Browser to co-operate),
Try this,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,forget the PM8TSMD, and get (at the minimum) a TS1000, better yet, get a TSU2000).

Uh, thanks for the reply...
However the PM8TSMD goes for about $30 + shipping on eBay whereas TS1000s go for about $100 + shipping which is a large difference in price.
Right now I definitely don't need a $100 remote nor could I justify buying one. Furthermore if I was going for a Pronto, I'd rather spend the money towards a Palm and get the Pronto software for it. Or I'd buy a $50 H/K Take Control but even $50 for a remote is pushing it for me.
So I can't really "forget about" the PM8TSMD and go for a remote which would end up costing 3-4 times the price...
The Philips PM8TSMD looks good like I said--I'm just trying to ask if anyone has had experience with it b/c I don't want to be stuck with a remote that is like that RCA one fit for the garbage (you all know which one I'm talking about right?).
