I'm looking for suggestions to help improve the Clicker Picker.

I've already decided to change the format to a more question-and-answer style, along with "doesn't matter" options, but I'd also like to know if anyone knows of any specification comparison items that I'm currently missing... or anything else that you'd like to see!

Thanks!

On the first page, which the link above brings me there. The "other feature" are could have a "does not matter" instead of just a "yes or no" If you do have the "does not matter" you could have that as the default checked button.

Also add one that would ask if the person wants a unit that is just a remote, or something like an iqac.

Once on the second page. Placing the price on the remote would probably help.

How did the pronto pro end up on the second page for when I selected the price range of 250-350?

I chosen tsu 2000 and MX-1000 and the Pro. I've noticed there is a option for a motion sensor. I think it would be better labeled as a pick up sensor. Only because when I first saw it, I though it was like all you would have to do is wave your hand in front of the remote. Unless there is a remote out there that does that.

Not too sure about the mx 1000, but I don't think that the Pro can use aaa batteries, right? Also, I know that the tsu 2000 can use either the pack or 4 aa's. Could you make that known on the feature list, like NiMH/4 AA.

Under adjustable delays, instead of putting the dot, could you place the min to max amount of time of the delay? I know that sounds kind of corny to know. Just a thought though.

That's all that I can think of right now.

I haven't touched the software in over a year, so everything needs updating. The software does not rule out any remote control, since often users don't really *know* what they're looking for. What happens is, remotes are deducted points for being under and over requirements (over-priced remotes get a big knock). Sometimes there's just one or two things totally different from what the user wants, but everything else is a far better match than any other product, so it gets placed higher in the results list.

With the optional features, selecting neither yes or no is "does not matter".

You're right, that's a typo with the Pro. Below the battery type it lists whether its rechargable and what type of system it is. If you select something like the TheaterTouch you'll see that the battery type is listed as "Custom", as the Pro should be.

To be honest I don't think I can include software remotes since they work on too many different hardware platforms, which dictate too much hardware specs (which is a big part of the CP).

I find that sometimes the "optional" features are more important. For example someone might be looking for an RF remote. It might be useful to be able to categorize from most important to least important
