Hello,

I just opened the box to my new TSU 2000. The guy at the store had been messing around with it before I picked it up. Now the thing turns on, beeps, etc.., but I only get a reaction from the screen when I touch the bottom right hand corner. This makes it a little hard to activate the home button, or any other button thats on the thing. I've updated firmware, rest the thing and tried new batteries.

Did the guy not calibrate or do the intitial set up right. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Are you seeing any image? Have you adjusted the contrast dial?

Ok do this.

Press and hold the backlight button along with the two buttom hard buttons (left and right)

While holding those buttons down. Press these buttons in this order......

mute

channel up

mute

channel up

volume down

Once you do those. Release the BACKLIGHT button before the left and right buttons. This will bring you to the calibration screen. However, if you release the left and right buttons before the backlight button. It will bring you to the game tetris on the remote.

Thanks King, but it gives me a calibration error?
The top left corner works, but the bottom right is where I get the error.
Anything??

Try this. Take the back cover off of the remote and underneath the battery, there is a small pin hole with a button that resets the remote. Perhaps this is an error with your firmware. Press and hold this button for a few seconds. This will reset the remote, and you will have to start from scratch. Every now and then, the firmware corrupts this solves the problem. I

Jared,

Not the Reset Button, but another one under the batteries? I can't seem to find a little pin hole?

Robb, when you calibrate you have to use something fine like a pencil tip.

I have no idea if this will work, but what if you connected it to your computer and with the latest version of PE you reflashed the remote?

Rob,

Reflashing the firmware sounds like the best approach to me as well. But maybe exchanging it at the store might bring you more piece of mind.

The tsu-2000 only has one reset button. Which is on the back. Not underneath the battery. It's on the out side of the remote. And all this button does, is basicaly dissconnects the battery from the remote. Well not really, but the remote reacts like the battery has been taken out. This does NOT erase anything on the remote. The only thing that it might change, is the time/day. Other than that, everything works like it did before. Specaily in this case.

Why don't you just return it for a new one? The guy at the store should stop playing with other peoples toys don't you think?
