I own a Regency fan and am wondering if anyone out there has tried to use the Hampton Bay or Harbor Breeze hex codes from "CodeGen", the RF Code Generator, to control a Regency Fan. My fan control has a button to change direction of the fan and CodGen does not for either model listed so I am wondering if I can even get this code. If this does not work does anyone know an easy way find out hex codes that will work??? Thanks, Phillip

The schematic (on the FCC web page) for the Regency shows it with the same buttons as the Hampton Bay remote. If yours has additional codes, you can use the same Multi-Purpose Board to record the codes as .wav files. You will need a 303.875MHz RF receiver and a couple of resistors. See the "RF2WAV #2" section of the Multi-Purpose Board web page. This message was edited by Dave Houston on 02/26/03 06:26.
