I am new at programming a Pronto, I have been programming Crestron for a coulpe of years but have only been programming a Pronto for about 3 days.

I have 2 questions dealing with IR.

First off how do I take the long Hex file and place it in Prontoedit to save the IR file? I thought it would have been easy to do, but it is not.

Second, how do I customize the setup screen. The reason I ask is becasue the setup scren I have does not allow me to enable all of the functions including the learn function. Because if this I cannot learn any new IR functions.

Thanks

Greg

Where is the ir hex code that you want to save???

If you got it from one of these pages, or from somewhere else, other than ProntoEdit ccf that you are working on right now.

Double click on a button to open the properties. Click on "Set Ir" which will bring up another window. Once that is open, click on "View IR". Then just paste the ir code into that box that just dropped down.

I understand your second question, but only somewhat.

Are you missing the "mode" button at the bottum of the user screen? If so, then press and hold the pronto's icon at the top of the screen for three seconds.

Go to the second set up page to enable the mode button.

However, if that button is not there at all on the second set up page. Then you must upload that ccf to the pc. Go to the system properties of the ccf. Uncheck the "CCF is write protected" box. Then download the ccf back into the remote.

And you need to be using ProntoEdit V4.05 to paste hex IR Codes the way Rob described.
