I just received my TSU2000 a couple days ago. I have it all programmed but working on the DSS ccf. I have created my own on this and have learned all the codes from the original remote.

The issue I am having is programming the channels into the remote. I have programmed and learned the numbers from the orig remote to a number pad on the 2000. I am then using the alias from this pad to program the channels (ie MTV 160 I alias 1 from pad 0.1 delay 6 from pad 0.1 delay 0 from pad). The issue I am having trouble with is that some work then others only send the first two numbers and not the last. some channels work and some are not. I have lengthed the delays on the last number and reduced the first nothing seems to be working. Then I went to the number pad and was confirming the numbers are programmed right. I hit 1 then 2 then 3 on the pad but the receiver received 124. I then did 3 then 0 then 0 and it worked. I re-learned all the numbers and re-programmed it all and am having the same issues.

Any suggestions... Also I am not quite understanding the Macros??? Can someone explain these. I am using ProtoEdit 4.0.5 and sys ver 4.8, app ver 5.3, and have 78% mem available.

It sounds like you need longer delays, try .2 or .3. In the action list just double click on the delay and change it. Check a few of them before you spend the time to change them all.

As far as macros are concerned, you know more than you think. The DSS channels you just programmed are macros. I.e. more than one command on a button. Now just alias to power on commands, inputs whatever to build other macros.

I will give it a whirl I had tried delays up to .3 but that did not work yesterday. I will try a higher delay on a few that are not working and try again.

Thanks for the help.

Just to make sure, you are testing this with the proto programmed, not in emulation mode, correct? I noticed that anything that is time sensitive is messed up when doing emulation mode thru Pronto Edit. For instance, I ran into the same scenario- in emulation, I only got one or two digits entered. When I sent the program to the pronto, it worked like a champ. This really messed me up when I was working with x10 light dimming.. Serial connections are too slow.

I have a very old RCA DSS receiver, and I have a .3 second delay between digits, and it works great, never a problem.

You should never try to test out the actual IR in emulation mode. Use the emulator to check out the logic, then download to the Pronto to test the IR.

Yeah, I was trying it from the remote not the emulator. The delay change worked so far. I set it up with alias to number then delay of 0.2 then alias to number then 0.5 delay then last alias. Seems to work fine now.

Thanks for the Help!!
