It has been months since I updated my ccf. I have done some modifications and am trying to download and I keep gettting "Com1: opened but no response from RC device / RC device is not connected or responding" It used to work fine. I haven't used the remote lately could that have something to do with it? Do the batteries need to recharge? I've tried "waking" it up by tapping it before trying the download. I even hit the reset button on the back. Anyone have any ideas??

Thanks

Tapping isn't going to help, as Pronto edit cannot see the remote. Have you added any new hardware that uses the COM ports?

No, no new hardware. I have changed some software in and out. Do you think reinstalling edit would help??

BTW, where can I get another RS232 cable that will work with the Pronto Pro and what do they cost?

Miller,

You can probably make your own very easily, or you can use a Kodak camera cable. Look here: [Link: remotecentral.com].
