Hi,

They are about same price (Recondition). My friend has a TS2000, he told me it works great and give him unlimited flexibility and it is just like TS1000 (less memory i guess that's the only difference). But i am thinking either TSU500 or TS1000. Which one is better?
But TSU500 is the newest model and TS1000 is discontiue a while ago. I alwasy thought latest is greatest (especially in New Gadgets)
Can you guys tell me the difference betwee these two models? And what should i get if i want something that will give me more flexiblity (to control all of my VIDEO/AUDIO/Lighting and Marcos as well)

Thanks.

latest is greatest is only true if the two things compared are at the same level.

upper level- ProntoPro - TSU-6000
middle level - Pronto - TS-1000, TS-2000, TS-3000
lower level - Pronto Neo - TSU-500

I would choose the 1000 over the 500 since I like the extra screen space, but if you would rather have the extra hard buttons, then the 500 is a good choice.

The 500 is entry level and very basic. I'd go for anything but the 500.

From what I've seen here. There are not as many 500 users and therefore not as much help/info. I have a 2000 and love it (even if I don't yet fully understand it), I would love to have a 3000 though with all the new hard buttons

rleung,

I have both. The TS-1000 has a bigger screen but less hard buttons. I found out that even if the ProntoNeo has more hard buttons (saving on screen space) you are always looking to add more buttons and bitmaps on the same screen...
The TSU-3000 is looking like the perfect compromise between both worlds of soft and hard buttons including screen space.

Hope it helps!

Martin :-)
