Does anyone have a way to do discreet power on/off for toshiba DVd players? I heard that you could press a couple of buttons that would perform the task but cannot remember the sequence.

The standard workaround for power on is "play", delay, "stop". For power off, play (to insure it's on) and then power toggle. Jim L

I use the combo Jim mentions as a macro and they work fine. The "open/close" button on the remote will also turn the DVD player on like the "play" button.
