Hello all...

I am new to Pronto programming, so If I've asked a question that I can't seem to find in a FAQ or that someone else posted in this group, that has indeed been answered already, I'm sorry in advance.

I am a Linux user, and have (though reading the posts and such here) found Tonto. Tonto runs and works fine. My question is, is there an emulator for the TSU2000 that runs under Linux? I can't seem to find one anywhere on the Tonto page, or by searching here or on Google. I know that there has to be someone out there doing what I'd like to do.

Thanks in advance,
Randy

Tonto doesn't have it's own emulator. There is a way to use the emulator in Pronto Edit with Tonto, however. In Tonto, go to "file", "preferences", and select the "helpers" tab. You will see a list. Use browse to find "emulator.exe" for your type remote. Of course this means that you must install Pronto Edit, but once you do, all you need is the emulator.exe program for your remote.

Now I have no idea whether PE will install on a Linux machine. If it won't, find a Windows machine install it, and then copy just the emulator program(it will work as a standalone) onto your machine. Of course, I also have no idea whether the emulator itself will work under Linux, but it's worth a try.
