for my TSU2000, what should I do? I've had the charger about a year and now it seems to not be holding a charge. I've cleaned the contacts, reseated the battery multiple times, made sure the contacts seem to contact the battery...it goes on and on. The charge light comes on for a short time even though the battery indicator (which always used to be pegged high) reads half way or so and the charge lasts less than an hour. Should I resort to solder?

Thanks,

Bob

Bob,

It could be that the battery, and not the charger is bad. The meter in most cases is pretty useless. In this case, however, it could indicate the inability of the battery to be able to accept a full charge. I would agree that the battery going bad in a about a year is an unusual occurance.

I guess the first thing I'd do to put some regular batteries in to make sure the remote itself isn't the problem (very unlikely). Replacing the battery is pretty expensive, best bet might be ebay, a charger with battery is probably cheaper than just buying a new battery.
