Hello,
Got another question. I can upload and download with the older pronto edit 2.0 into my tsu2000. I loaded new 4.0.5, and I can only upload from the pronto.
I am guessing that there is a new flash needed to be dun?? Any other thoughts on why I cannot download into PRonto with 4.0.5???
Ron

No, I have not?
Curious though, I have both the 2.0 and the 4.05 loaded on my system. The 2.0 communicates just fine while pronto is sleeping.
Is this a new issue that the screen must be on when attempting with the new 4.05 version???

This issue has been around since the very first version of PE in 1999. Whether it's necessary or not depends on a lot of things, version of the software, your operating system, etc. etc. So no, it's not new. Jim L

I recently made some changes to my configuration (for a 1000). This was the first time I've made changes with 4.05. I was expecting to have to tap the screen to do a download, but it worked fine every time for me.

4.05 seems to work OK on my ProntoPro, TS-1000 and TSU2000 so far.

4.0.5 is more particular to COM ports. One my collegue have the same trouble. You can try to communicate with pronto - from another computer - from another COM port (USB->COM?) - from another soft (Tonto?) - from another OS (win98?)
