I have a number of devices Like my Sony XBR TV, that only have one power button to toggle on/off. I want to do macro that would swich some devices on and some off and play a CD or something like that, but they don't have an "ON" or "OFF" only button. How do I do it ?

You need to ask
sony tv on

power off

all you need to do is cut and paste those codes and you're done
as for the cd is the switch mechanical or do you have power button on remote (what brand is it)
