I have 3 ts-1000 and they all seem to have the same issue. They power down when hit on the right side or dropped. then take a while to reboot or I need to pull the batt. Is this an issue. I have sent them back and forth to phillips but they send me refurbed ones back with the same issues.

Well damn. If your gonna hit something, or drop it for that matter. Of course it's gonna have an issue.
Try this, drop a baby on their head. What would the baby do? Cry right? Hit the baby too, what would they do? Cry right?

it sounds like hes dropped more than three. i can see it now..........first thing out of the box he sticks in some new batts and then starts dropkicking em around the tile floors and bouncing em off of brick walls.
then......and only then.......does he get out his 3 pound sledge.
yessir did it again! so it looks like its time to send em back to phillips for a new set.

the jolt is probably breaking the contact between the battery and remote.
My fist hurts when I punch the wall as hard as I can, is there a problem with my fist? Also noticed that I get a headache when I hit my head against the wall

They only fall off the couch about 3 feet on to carpet. It doesn't reboot all the time but it is usally at a bad time like when I am trying to stop the fast foward and it slps out of my hand. Some are better than others. the bad thing is that it takes a min or two to reboot.

Well yeah. Three feet would do it. Specaily if you have the battery pack in there. Instead of reg AAs. It's a totally different contact for the pack, than to the AAs. Take the pack out. Look at the contacts on the pack. Their somewhat inside the pack. Look on a reg AA it's somewhat sticking out. There for the pack is most likely gonna lose the connection than a reg AA would.
