Is there a reason for this, is it defective? We have a 1000 at work and it is quick to respond.
Thanks for the input,
Tony

What do you do? Tap the screen? Or push the backlight button?
The next time you post, leave more information. We can't work on such little information. Pretend that we're like your doctor. Tell us what is wrong, what is done to get the wrong. Stuff like that.

Sorry about that.
I try to tap on the screen to wake the unit up and the screen stays blank. I try a few more times and then fiddle around with the contrast and it comes up with the Pronto splash screen before going to the default home screen.
I am not sure about fiddling with the contrast actually doing anything (wandering contrast) tonight I will just see how many taps it takes to wake it if it wakes at all.
I question this because the 1000 we have at work quickly goes to the default home screen on the first tap. Why does my unit go to a splash screen first, is this a tsu2000 feature?

Tony, Much better.
The splash screen is not a tsu 2000 feature. It's not any remote's feature. But to show that on boot up.
So your remote is rebooting. Waking up for the first time. What you need to do, is put regular AA's in it. To see if it's the battery pack. If it, post it on here.
If the rebooting still happens with every battery. Then you must reflash the firmware. Go to ProntoEdit 4.05 Tools, update firmware. Select tsu-2000.

Its rcaw from the home theater spot. I thought this post looked familiar.

I am rcaw. Between these two forums you can get anything you need in terms of HT.
I tried my remote again last night and it must have known I was coming because it fired right up to the home screen. I tried it a few hours later and it worked again, same thing this morning.
Maybe it was just an anomaly. I will see what happens when I move over my ccf this weekend. I am spending all my time with ProntoEdit and Tonto right now.
