I have inserted the battery pack and I get the green charging light, but the thing never seems to charge. I can't get it to turn on in our out of the cradle. How long should it take the first time it is charged to be able to get a response from the cradle? I thought it would be after a few minutes, but something doesn't seem right. Thanks for the help,
Michael

How new is the remote for you? Does the remote work with regular batteries?
I personly never seen your problem. I even tried it once before. Took the batteries out, and placed it on the charger. It did nothing, but the green light came on. The remote itself did nothing.
When you place the remote on the charger, what happens besides the green light turning on? Does the remote boot up, or anything else?
As far as the thing of time before it does anything. Well it should of at least booted up when you placed the batteries in. Even though you didn't have it on the charger yet. However, it probably wouldn't of lasted long.
Try taking out the pack, and reinsert it. It could be a loose connection though.
If you see the battery level indidcator low. Respond to this message. And I'll tell you how to fix it. But I want you to get this done before I jump the gun. <---Jim.

thanks for your reply....
I have been using the remote with regular batteries for about 8 months now. I tried messing around with the charge when I got about 7 months ago, but I didn't have any luck. So, I just put the regular batteries back in.
I have tried re-inserting the battery pack a couple of times, but I haven't had any luck. I will try some more. thanks

How are the gold pins in the remote? Are the out far? Or are they too deep in the remote where you think they might not make conntact with the pack? Note that they come up towards you, then go back down towards the remote. That is where they make contact. Look at the pack as well to make a judgement on where they meet.
If you think the gold contacts aren't out enoguh, then gentle pull them out.
Once that is down, place the remote on the charger. And wait at least 30 minutes or so, so that the pack can charge up some. Since you've said you had it for 8 months, and tried to work with it as well.

The remote never boots up or comes on. I left it alone for about 3 hours tonight, but I still didn't get any life from the remote.
