There can be several causes for this. Try reflashing the firmware for a start (make sure it's the latest version). Failing this, you may have a bad code(s), does it happen on any particular buttons? You might try relearning codes. Jim L

Also, how are the batteries? But don't trust the battery level indicator though. Rob

Just kuz, doesn't seem to be a real valid reason. It's worse with the charger, since the battery is a different voltage. Come-on Rob, don't be a holdout, tell him your method of correcting the battery indicator. ;-) Jim L

Gee thanks Jim......
To correct the problem. You must be able to get into the set up screen. So do this before the battery icon comes up. Which it might pretty soon due to the fact the battery level says it's half way. The icon comes up when the battery level goes down below some. Not by the voltage of the battery. (saying that, so you won't try to tell me that I am contradicting myself
But anyways, Go to the set up menu. Second page, where the light level is at. Select the light level and turn it down all the way to the left. Take the battery out. Then place it back in. Let it reboot. And then go back into the set up menu. The battery level should be correct. For where it shows, it is the correct level. So if it still half way. Then you need to charge, or replace the battery. Just to make sure, go to the second set up menu. The light setting should be at where it was before you did this. If it's not, which I doubt, turn it back to the right.

That's fine as long as Rob gets to be Ron Popeil. I'm lots better looking than that. :-) Jim L

I method works on the battery pack. I am not sure about regular AA's. Remember this though. The output of the pack is 4.7 or something like that. But with 4 AA together, it would be 6 volts. That is why the battery level is "off" specailly with the pack. But don't quote me on the reg AAs.
