Hi all,

First, thanks to everyone on the forum for info, ccf's. This all helped tremendously in my search for a remote.

So now the search is over and i received my ts1000 last friday and started setting up my ccf. In doing some test runs i have noticed that sometimes buttons close to the edge of the screen are very difficult to activate with a finger. a stylus works ok but I think the finger or nail should work.

This is a refurbed unit.

Is there a way to increase sensitivity on the screen?
Is this unit defective?

other than issue the unit seems to be working fine.

BTW: I got the 1000 because I will never need the additional memory and I have all my remotes, so the DB was not needed. I also have my eye on the 3000 but didn't want to wait that long or pay full price. I figure I'll use this for about a year or so, then when the 3000 prices come down a little maybe I'll upgrade.

so much for self justification

no, but sometimes calibrating the screen (in the setup menu) helps. If the screen is not calibrated correctly it can appear less sensitive.
