Does anyone have discrete codes to turn on and to turn off a Sony Playstation 2?

Also, are there IR codes for the Playstation 2 for the circumstance of where you have infra red controlled game controllers.

There is no way for you to turn on or off the PS2 via remote. Sony doesn't want you to.

Thanks for your disappointing response. Is it possible for the hex code gurus out there to develop such codes?

You can't "make" discrete codes. The device either has (& will understand) them or not.

There has also been discussion on using an X-10 Module to switch the power supply on & off, but when the PS2 is switched on it seems to go into a "sleep mode" or something that still requires a physical button push to get it going . . . so that option is out as well.
