I have the marantz rc 5200 and I am trying to create a macro. I am 99 percent finished and everything works fine but for one step :(
I am asking the remote to change the imput on my TV so that I can watch DVD's. It does not matter how I program the remote the input does not change. I tested the input alone and it is cloned properly on the remote. I put in a delay taken out the delay and that does not help. Any suggestions??

Try it in a two action macro that just has a delay added to the input change.
If it does not work, you might have a dirty code.
If it does work, then you might have to play around with more and longer delays.
