The mouse mode on the pronto is design to work with a Philips made keyboard. At least something made by Philips. So the ir codes on there are for Philips only.
Besides it would be impossible to learn onto, or into a different remote. Think about it, how many "spaces" are on the lcd screen. I honestly dont know how the ir codes are sent out, though. So I could be wrong.

I've thought about this a lot. The only way I can think to make use of Mouse Mode would be to replace the firmware IR codes with other codes. Then it might be possible to use Mouse Mode as a directional pad. Still, it would be the only control on the screen, so it probably wouldn't be useful.

I'm also wondering if the firmware can be tinkered with to change the screen to an "on touch" basis rather than an "on release" basis. Since Mouse Mode exists, this is clearly possible electronically. Since the first day I got my Pronto, I've had a touch pad emulator in a CCF, but it would require "on touch" control to make it work. The nice thing about the touch pad is that it would be possible to integrate it within a regular CCF panel.

Might be a bit too tricky to try with the existing remote... but with the TSU3000 on a whole new platform, who knows what'll be possible.
