I have just bought the ru940 and require some assistance.
I want to setup some macros to turn off all my appliances with one button. If I run the macro using the standby buttons and for example the dvd is off when I run the macro the dvd will then be turned on.
I am looking for the discreet codes to setup two buttons an on & a off button
My television is a sharp 76EF-20H amp pioneer vsx-d510 dvd pioneer dv-350 sky panasonic dvb sharp video
I would greatly appreciate any help!

Go to the file section of this site. Click on your remote. Down at the buttom of that page, there is a link for disceret codes. The codes that are listed on the site, may not be for YOUR model, but they may work.
However, I do have the codes for the pioneer gear.
power ON for the receiver

Cheers worked a treat with the pioneer stuff but I haven't had any joy with the tv or the sky digibox. I have looked through the files on this site is there any where else I could look?

My info is that the sky digibox has a discrete 'Power ON' which is the button marked 'Sky' but to switch off you have to use the power toggle. I have the panasonic digibox. My ccf has macros to switch system power on & power off based on the above

Tony,
I will download your CCF and see how I get on with it. But my search will continue for the discreet codes for the sharp stuff. I e-mailed sharp and they said that they didn't know what a discreet code was..
ah well thanks for the help

If you haven't found such codes by now, they probably don't exist.
Don't be surprised if they don't know what discrete codes are. "discrete code" is not in an industry term - it is largely only used here.
