Ernie: like Patrice said try the link and then extended IR codes, Yamaha has a lot of discrete codes

Ernie

Anthony, the ccf is here on the site! Did I fail to mention that? Actually, if you do a google search for my name, it will point you to this page with the ccf:

[Link: remotecentral.com]

Sorry, I don't know how to put links in these posts. If this does not work, go to individual component ccfs, JVC, Projectors....

Stephane,
I must apologize, but I have just not gotten into hex representations of IR codes. Let me run something by you:

You analyzed a command to find out what its hex code was. You then modified the code and -- here's the key -- turned it into an IR command in a ccf. Even a trial ccf, but a ccf. I mean, it had to be an IR command for you to find out that it would work as a discrete command.

Now, Patrice needs an IR command. Two, actually. But instead of leaving the command in IR form, you extracted the hex code and have presented it here so that we can do again what you already did and turn it into an IR command.

Why not just leave it as an IR command, make a ccf with two commands, upload it to the site (to sit next to mine under JVC Projectors) so that all of us can just use it without having to mess with the hex codes?

Sorry if this sounds a bit pissy. It probably is. But I just don't get the fascination with giving it to us in hex form when you already had it in usable form.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Ernie: all you have to do is paste the code into your CCF. Uploading a CCF to the site is not automatic, so it will take longer then just pasting the codes on this thread. Also he might not have ever built a CCF for it, he might have just created the codes from the info posted by Yamaha.

BTW Patrice was asking for a Yamaha projector, not JVC

Well, there I am wrong two ways, two times in a row. On the same day, too, probably. Thanks for pointing it out so nicely. I needed the humility just now, and it didn't hurt at all. Thanks.

I obviously got carried away with the method I had used to control the JVC, even though I realize now that it is a completely different method.

Stephane, where did you go on the Yamaha site, and how did you generate the codes? I can't remember ever seeing anything like that, although there are so many thousands of pages on the Yamaha siteS -- plural -- that I could have been on the wrong continent.
