patrice,
i don't remember the model exactly, but doesn't it have a hit power once for on and power twice for off? if so you can make a macro for that. don't forget you will need some delay don't remember how much. it worked great for mine.

brandon,
First, thanks for your help and sorry for my bad english (i'm french), but if i actuate the power button when then projector is already operating, a message appears on the screen.
Whit a discrete code for "on" and an other for "off", i can make a macro whith the function "put then projecteur on" whithout knowing if the projector is operating or not, and without having the message.

anthony,
i agree with you, but i don't remember if you have a chose? i think the messege comes up and waits for the second power push or it will just time out. you don't have a cancel option i don't think?
patrice,
still not 100% sure of what your trying to get the system to do? but it sounds like you're going to leave the projector on even if you're not using it? is that right to assume? if so... that's a bad idea! the bulb has a life of about 1000-2000 hours. at least by the projectors clock. i have already replaced 1 bulb in the one i did. the customer uses the system daily in a main room. and that bulb was $450.usd. plus labor. the hours add up

diode1,
thanks for your help and for the link.
on yamaha's site i find I/R codes, but unfortunately they don't mean anything for me.
the code for "power on" is, for example D1 C0, D1 is "custom code" and C0 is "data code".
i don't know how to utilise this code in my RC5200, touchscreen setup don't accept letters.
help !!

Hoping to open up the discourse here on the site,
Ernie Los Angeles
