I just bought the TSU6000 on Friday (haven't received it yet) and am attempting to pre-programming it.

Can't decipher the user manual as concerns action buttons and macors. My question is: Can you assign a sequence of IR codes to any button in any panel or do you have to create a macro and link the button to it ?

Any button can be a macro, soft or hard buttons.

There are two ways to program the ir codes. One of which most people do here is to make a few panels. Have them hidden so that the user of the remote won't see the panels. And alais the buttons that are visiable to them. So that the codes are learned just once.

The other way is to use the visiable buttons just like above, but don't hide the panel of course. If you a button in another part of the remote that is learned already. Just alais to it.

Have fun though.

You can't actually LEARN (or copy/paste) more than one IR code to a button. What you do is ALIAS to the codes you've learned elsewhere (as Rob says) and then BUILD a macro. This macro can be constructed on any button, anywhere.

What about a sequence of IR codes from the db ?

On the home page/devices, Pronto Edit allows me to configure the following:

DVD- Action
IR - UDB-Amp-PowerOn
Delay
IR - UDB - DVD-PowerOn
etc...

Macro can be programed anywhere on the remote.

One of your problems with you sequence above, is the vdb dvd power on, and amp power on.
They don't work like that. They work as a TOAD only. So you have to go the files section and search for the discrete codes for your devices.

Click on the links in the box below, in particular you will find : the FAQ, Reviews, Play With It, Phases, Planning and ALIAS.CCF helpful when just starting out.

And remember when you ask questions to be specific in your Heading and very specific in your question, including precisely what your problem/question is and what model Remote you have and what OS you are using on your PC.

Also, don't forget the Search Forum at the bottom of the Page. It may seem slow but it is VERY thourough and don't be mislead by the "0%" you will see on the first screen, it is only a progress marker.
