Just ordered the Philips 32PW9527 TV in the UK.

In ProntoEdit when setting an IR for a button (for the RU940), if you choose TV/Philips there are options for DVX, EU, EU (OLD), US. Only DVX has commands for PowerOn and PowerOff. I tried these out in the shop but they didn't work.

Any ideas?

It seems this TV set don't have discrete on and off codes.

this TV uses a remote which is probably similar to yours, some discrete RC6 codes are given. I don't think Philips changes its basic command codes with new versions of its remotes.
