When I try and use my up and down commands on my remote for controling sound and channels I have to continually tap the up or down to get it to keep going. Is there a way to make this keep resending a signal. Also at the top of my remote is shows the little signal shooting out when I hold down continuos its just that nothing happends after intial single change. X

when you learn codes into the Pronto: Start Pronto 'Learning' > Press and HOLD OEM 'Teaching' Button until Pronto indicates it has learned the code. Read 'Play With It' in the box below . . . actually all the links will help. In particular, Read the FAQs several times, all the way through, and then go back and reread them a few times. Click on the links in the box below, in particular you will find : the FAQ, Reviews, Play With It, Phases, Planning and ALIAS.CCF helpful when just starting out.
And remember when you ask questions to be specific in your Heading and very specific in your question, including precisely what your problem/question is and what model Remote you have and what OS you are using on your PC.
Also, don't forget the Search Forum at the bottom of the Page. It may seem slow but it is VERY thourough and don't be mislead by the "0%" you will see on the first screen, it is only a progress marker.

In addition to what Mike said, if your buttons have anything in addition to the channel +/- or Vol +/- (even a delay), you actually have a macro. Macros only run once and will not repeat when you hold the button down. If all you have is the learned codes, holding the button should get them to repeat. Jim L

With all of your buttons, you should press and hold the OEM's button until the pronto (or any other learning remote) has learned the code. If you press and let go of the oem's button, it can result in a dirty code.

Ok so you are saying to press and keep it held in until it says it has learned the code because on every single code I have pressed fimly and then let the button go and it has learned every code for my tv dvd vcr reciver and so forth if this is the cases its gonna suck having to relearn the 100 or so code I spent all day saturday programing. See I thought that if I held the button down it would possible duplicate the code. Anyway the up and down on the channels and the volume are fresh newly learned codes I go in hit delete then set ir then learn and ok my way out after its finished. Tonight I will try and relearn them again with holding the button unitll it tells me it has learned the code and see is that is the tkt. thanks X

On the other hand, you could leave alone the buttons that work, all 400 of them, and just mess with the ones that don't. "can result in a dirty code" does not mean it necessarily will. Since this is your Pronto and not one you are doing for someone else, you can always correct one button, or ten, whenever experience shows that you need to.

Like Ernie said, you don't need to redo all, how many buttons do you use that way (that you want to repeat). On the other hand, it is not the Pronto's fault that you did not do it correctly the first time, it is written in the manual.
