I just took a look at the ts 1000 I got off ebay and the last owner still has his programming on it. I tried to restore the mode button, but the option is no longer on the setup menu. I decided I would just revert the settings to factory, but that button is not usable. Does anyone know how to restore the mode option (it flat out does not appear on the setup menu) or restore the use of the revert button.

you will need to d/l and install pronto.iniworkshop

from here
[Link: remotecentral.com]

activate installer mode

after all that, you will be able to uncheck the(set as factory default) boxe so you'll have the revert button again.....

Whoa wait a minute there Stephane.

What he needs to do is not that. But to open PE(ProntoEdit)
Make a ccf, or at least open the default ccf for the unit. Go to system properties. Uncheck the ccf is write protected, if it's not already. Then download the ccf.

Once that is done, the mode button in the set up will appear. And the revert button will still be grayed out, because you have not made a change on the remote itself.

At little hint as well. When you donwload a ccf, turn on the backlight. Push the backlight button on the side until the download starts. Make the connection much better for PE.

What your thinking of Stephane, is not nessarly on the developer mode. Well it is, but you don't need it to make it show. Yes you need developer mode to show the set as factory default. But that is not his problem.

jayswin, enjoy your new remote. As you can tell you can get alot of help on here.
