Ever since I started using the RF extender with the ProntoPro, downloading updates of my CCF kills RF functionality. As a work around, I need to go into any random panel, press the "Pronto" icon to bring up the IR drop down button, select the IR button, change the panel to IR from RF (it was properly set to RF using the ProntoEdit software and shows RF), exit the screens back to normal operation - THEN - press the "Pronto" icon again to bring up the IR drop down button again, select the IR button, change the panel back to RF from IR, and exit the screens back to normal operation. After this work-around, the RF works like a charm on all panels.

Whenever I update my CCF file in ProntoEdit, and then download it to the ProntoPro, it ALWAYS kills the RF until I perform the above work-around. It is not a biggie because it ultimately works, but something is wrong here.

I checked all my device properties and the ones that require RF are enabled. There is 1 device that requires IR and that is enabled for IR. But, for some reason, my ProntoPro ALWAYS 'thinks' all devices are IR - even though pressing the "Pronto" icon to bring up the IR drop down button, and then checking the status of the panels, confirms the device is set to RF. I need to go through that exercise above for the ProntoPro to "get it".

Any thoughts or advice?

One again I am bass ackwards and should have searched the forum first for an answer. I see that other have had this problem so i guess it is the nature of the beast. I will note, based on the other posts, that I do not have to change each device from RF to IR to RF to get it to work. Changing one device from RF to IR to RF on the ProntoPro fixes them all.

Well now.... a well known and documented bug. Why can't Philips fix this in a firmware upgrade? I will submit this to Philips tech support.

To get the new firmware. I beleive you need to get ProntoEdit 4.05 I hope it's in there. if I remember correctly. The firmware is the updated one. sys and app are both 1.4
If your's is different. Then I, Just like Peter said, suggest updating it.

Thanks guys. Yes, I have the updated firmware and PE software. I even have the latest windows XP patches. I am an update freak. I check every week. It is an old problem, but it is not solved yet.

I will post to Philips through pronto.philips.com. If I get a response I will post.

BTW, this is off topic, but, whoever posted that 400 channel icon set is g-d. That person even had my local network icons in Baltimore!!!!

Thanks for the replies.
