can i learn a rf code for a door opener to my pronto?

i have doors that cover my tv when not in use. the door is operated by a rf remote which came with the unit. can i learn that code into my pronto?

Sorry to say no.

However, there is a work around. That is if you are willing to take apart the remote for the doors. Not the Pronto though, so that I won't scare you.

Attach a x-10 switch to the oem so that it only makes contact for the remote for a second or so. If there isn't one like that. Just make sure that on the pronto's button for the door. That you have the codes to turn it off, then a second later to turn the x-10 back off.

I didn't put this thread in detail because I didn't know if you know what to do or not.

thanks rob your right im not sure about doing that. i think i might go with a 12 volt video sensor switch. thanks for the reply im sure we will talk again

No but I might be able to suggest a way to accomplish your goal if you know the RF frequency used by the remote. If you don't know the frequency, is there an FCC ID number on the remote?
