Need some help.
Can the Marantz RC9200 software and Pronto Edit co-exist on my PC? Seem to have lost ability to open Pronto Edit 2.0 after loading RC9200 software.
Can Pronto CCF info be loaded on 9200 and then edited to add color where needed?
Just a beginner, would appreciate some help....thanks

Terry, Yes they can coexist on the same computer. As a side note, whichever one you install last will be the default. I.e. if you open a program by double clicking on the FILE (not through the software) it'll open using PE or TSS depending on which was installed last. Pronto ccf's will open in TSS. Since the usable screen is smaller on the Pronto, you'll have a blank space (which is editable) above and below the Pronto screen. Jim L

Tried opening Pronto file and it worked like you said it would. It opened under the Marantz software because I loaded it last. Do I need to be able to open the Pronto Edit to make changes? Can I use the Marantz software to edit the Pronto file? Will there be any problems mixing things this way?
I know this may seem like real "basics" but as a newbie, your help is really appreciated....Terry

Terry, you should be using ProntoEdit 4.05. This version does not use pronto.ini, but the registry. This fixes all the bugs and annoyances in V2.0 and provides new functionality.
The 9200 install deletes pronto.ini because it is no longer used. Which is a pain, because the emulator still uses it.
Another way to get it back, is to download ProntoIni Workshop, which puts it back for you if it is missing.
You can open Marantz CCF in PE and vice-versa - they get converted to the other format, and some functionality may be lost. However, you cannot maintain a Pronto CCF using TSS or vice-versa, as there are differences (especially editable screen area).
