Anyone know why the LED's on the charging base are always flashng when the remote is in it's cradle?

They shouldn't be - the remote isn't charging if they are. There is definitely something wrong. There are several conditions which can trigger this. The only one I know for sure is an overheat condition. This isn't your problem because if it was you'd know by the smell.

Base charges fine....it happened just after I upgraded my firmware on Sunday...never stops flashing though. Very annoying since it sits on my nightable.

Just disconnected the batery for about 30 seconds, re-connected and now it's fine....go figger. Anyway, your post gave me that clue, thanks Jim!

Mine does this occasionally. One day it flashes - another day it doesn't. It's always been that way. I've stopped worrying about it.

I think some advice I got at the time was to clean the contact points which seemed to work for some people.

Here we go again...

My base station for TSU2000 was constantly flashing.

I gave up on fixing it. At one point, the base stopped charging altogether and I had to start using regular batteries...

Then, regular batteries stopped working.

I got myself a Marantz and it works much better (not a single flash in sight...).
