Looking at selling my Sony KV32F60U and buying a new TV. One reason is that there is no seperate OFF command on the Sony.

Can anyone suggest the best make of TV to go with the Pronto - particularly with an OFF command.

p.s. I am in the UK

I'm not in the UK, so things are probably different. But I didn't know of any Sony's over 27" that didn't have discrete power on and off commands. You might check these codes: [Link: remotecentral.com] to see if they work. Even if no power off is found, you can simulate one by sending a "power on" followed by a "power toggle" code.

On my TV certainly, the off command has no effect.

The trouble is with your suggestion is that after sending the on command you have to add about a seven second delay whilst the TV turns on before it will accept further commands.

Try this as a discete off for european Sony TV's

0000 0067 0000 000d 0060 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 03de

Works perfectly with my KV32FQ75U, and I believe all Euro Sony TV's use the same codeset.

Let me know if it works for you...
