I bought some X10 receivers to accomplish some PLC from my Pronto. My Pronto sends IR to the IR543 transmitter, which converts to X10 (I think) to control lighting scenes, inductive loads [fan on/off], and AC receptacles. The IR543 can control up to 8 addresses, but you have to mechanically switch control for each group of 4.

I have a total of 4 now, and have no problem; but I would like to add 3 more receivers to control 2 other receptacles, and a pair of sconces.

Can I control them directly with the Pronto; or do I have to buy another IR543; or has someone found IR codes the can electronically switch the IR 543.????

HELP....

RF CHAD remote w/ X10 module

and here, as well:

Click Me

Click on the links in the box below, in particular you will find : the FAQ, Reviews, Play With It, Phases, Planning and ALIAS.CCF helpful when just starting out.

And remember when you ask questions to be specific in your Heading and very specific in your question, including precisely what your problem/question is and what model Remote you have and what OS you are using on your PC.

Also, don't forget the Search Forum at the bottom of the Page. It may seem slow but it is VERY thourough and don't be mislead by the "0%" you will see on the first screen, it is only a progress marker.

Using IR, you can control all 16 addresses on the one house code using a single IR543. However, you can only control one IR543 unit. If you have two IR543s, both will respond to the same IR code. There is another model - IR543-AH which can be used to control all 256 addresses.

You can get the CCF from the files area.
