This gadget is a Dolby Digital decoder, which I bought as a companion for the Marantz RC96 A/V receiver. It has an IR sensor, but oddly enough, came with no remote control, and so far as I can tell, the remote control that came with the RC96 includes has no control functions for it.
When I got my Pronto, I noticed that the default CCF included buttons that would allow selection of the digital inputs on the decoder! Great! Now I’m wondering if other functions are possible…(?)
It would also be nice to have discrete control of the 6 channel direct input on the receiver. The button on the included remote is a toggle. Can anyone help me out?

The Marantz RC2000 was sold as an accesory for the DP870. The codes in the default configuration on the RC2000 ran the unit. Use of the RC2000 was covered in the manual. I imagine those codes are also in the RC5000. The 6-channel input has operated as a toggle on Marantz gear for some time, I believe the operation is different on the SR7000, that it functions like other input selections do. You could compare the 6 channel comand from a SR7000 ccf if you wanted.

I have only just got my RC5000 so I can nto help at this tage. However i do have an RC2000 and this does have inbuilt support for the DP870.
Until i master how to do all this, I would suggest your best way would eb to walt into a Marantz dealer and ask to look at an RC2000 - they are still current units. Under the AMP section on Page 2 is where the DP870 support is.
I should have this under control in the enxt couple of days and may be able to upload them at that point if you have not solved it
regards

Has anyone been able to program the Pronto to adjust volume of the DP870? The built-in codes work for selecting RF, Coax, Optical inputs, as well as test tone, mute and discrete on/off. However I cannot get the volume or bypass controls to work, either using the built-in codes or by learning. The learning process itself is successful but the functions simply don't work. The programming tips did not help, nor did upgrading the software. Are these codes simply too high of a frequency? I just got this remote and hate to think I will have to return it, please someone tell me there is a workaround!
